PLEASE consider some infos around the area, when you search, which shows you the direction, where that quest starts. Īnd even in the area around there was no clue. When you come to that point I HAD NO CLUE WHAT TO DO. I had to look in Internet to find what to do AND THAT RUINED MY IMMERSION,Īs I hate to spoil myself or read solutions in any game Where you get infos, what to do or where it starts. Hi dear DEVS, that was an immersion breaker for me. Once you reach the new area, a quest should present itself quite near the entrance. Not a fan of "progress through random stumbling".Originally posted by 10tons:Progress forward from the Pyramid area to the south. Honestly? I used the wiki to find the coordinates then started walking directly there. Just a bit that if you read it, hey, at least you know it's out west in that region. In the foremans office, a clipboard that says something about the lumber delivery from Pike's or whatever the hell it's called Lumber Yard being delayed because of some issue "out west in ". Pretty sure a construction site is real close to the starting area. There should be a lot more notes in books and papers laying about. Part of the issue is there is ZERO indication anywhere in game those are a thing until you stumble upon the quest that sends you to the sawmill or smelter. So when I got the wrench and axe I upgraded them 1 or 2 times until I hit the Lumber/Titanium wall. Upgrading things I have, demolishing the whole town for spares on materials, etc. I'll take time to make sure I'm prepared going into the next stage. I'm not someone who steamrolls through the main questline. you should prioritize bat and the ability to take materials out of storage than wrench at the start. I've gotten to both areas as soon as i maxxed the bat. just try to give the stalkers (the skeletons) a wide berth at first or lure them into mines or ambush them from behind with grenades :P and for titanium it's to the west just before central both need gates fixed.įor titanium you just need to fight a few enemies as you cut through the shops than just run straight up afterwards most monsters use the same pattern you can exploit let them take a swipe at you than step back and attack than repeat the key is to not get hit and you can survive gyro helps with this too. Lumber is NW past the farm in old chalice you don't need to get to central city to get it. Most fights can be avoided if you have the road warrior on you can run faster past most enemies if you stick to the edges you can avoid them the net and boney hat equipped helps too so they don't see you you can literally run right past them. the areas themselves really aren't that hard to get you just need to fix the gates than you can run straight to them. You have to max the bat in the beginning this is the key to getting access to more stuff. And oddly, it seems that lumber is the harder of the two to get? And if not, why make it available at 21? The master lockpick is gained at 24 and requires Titanium. That says to me that you should have access to lumber around or by level 21. The Uncommon Compressor is gained at level 21, and requires Lumber to build. Is this a common issue?ĮDIT: I just went and saw what I had not built. I dunno if it was me or the game or what. Or the initial progression is very misleading in building up what you think will be the pace of the game. I feel like I must have missed something. Getting an axe at lv 21 and not being able to upgrade it further til I'm lv 35+ is a long time without much progression in gear quality. I'm 30 now, will be 31-32 by the time I get to the smelter, and prob 35ish if I beeline to the sawmill. At around level 22, everything stalled out and hit a Lumber/Titanium wall. I got the wrench at 20 and the axe at 21, and had them upgraded as far as I could almost immediately. The game has had good, well paced progression until I ran out of things to upgrade. The sawmill is even further, according to the wiki's info/maps. I finally found the quest that has me search for the smelter, and it's a hell of a hike from me. And from googling, the smelter and sawmill are a WAY off. And I've been at that limit for a good 10 levels, at least on some items. I have all of my gear (that I use anyway) maxxed out and at a titanium or lumber limit.
